For those wondering what happened and why it felt like I dropped off the face of the earth, I got deployed shortly after my final blog post.  From there I moved my blogs onto myspace, but I honestly never cared for them so now all future blogs are on SoldierX.  In terms of DDR, I don't play as much as I used to due to some knee issues I had since deployment (thankfully I have recovered from that), but I have since moved on to Beatmania IIDX and Pop'N Music.  As for the Marine Corps, I'm out in October of this year and I'm going back to college since the economy is probably going to outright crash by the end of the year.

Also, recently I have noticed that somebody is trying to access my blogs on here.  Currently it is my opinion (Emphasis on opinion) that it may be one Kyle Barnthouse AKA Durandal behind it due in part to his expulsion from SX due to lack of productivity and conducting himself in a unacceptable manner.

NeoTheta Experiment 27: Discontentment

My trip to Japan was nixed, I didn't win the DDR tournament, I have started to decrease my gameplay due to my dislike of the fact that the community doesn't even play much anymore. That and we got 14 year olds who know nothing about ediquette. I thought I met somebody who I could consider a friend, but when I am around them I feel uncomfortable and depressed afterwards so tomorrow I'm going to have to approach them about this. Overall, I have started to SDG everything on DDR, but I am at the point where I don't really care anymore and now I finally have a valid reason to stop playing in a few weeks.

I was about to ask for options to get released from my USMC contract since I didn't think they would help me with employment and I would get screwed. However, yesterday in a move that genuinely shocked me I was informed that I was activated. I cannot give out any details except that I will be leaving in March and I don't know how long this will be or when I will come back. This will most likely be my final entry in here as a result. For now this is my goodbye.

NeoTheta Experiment 26: Pimps Up, Hoes Down

Alright, I haven't been updating. Sorry.

My best DDR scores

Videos of some of my best scores (also features John783, fellow local player and MuncieDDR forum regular)

I've been playing a healthy amount of DDR, nothing new there. The major deal being that my scores have exponentially gotten better. I need to wrap up my AA fest before the planned local Tournament so I can hope to win. Also, issues with a local forumite were solved during the month. One thing though, some little kids and wannabe heavy mode players have finally ticked me off enough to the point where I started to make my own steps for DDR. The steps in question are much harder than they can comphrend and I've been using them to mess up other people. I figure it's a little revenge for when they talk shit and say they can pass Paranoia Eternal at home, then miserably fail it in the arcade cause they are stupid enough to think that Console Timing actually means something in the arcade.

This past month I got there was a failure of intelligence on 2 counts from my military bosses. First being a failure of proper directions for a charity event which I was voluntold to do despite not having money to make a trip back to Indy. Second being that despite being told I would get one, I never received a Drill Letter. Monday I contact INI and ask them what the hell is going on cause I never received one and from Friday Afternoon to Sunday Afternoon we are supposed to be doing gear and uniform inventory. I know I was not issued all gear and I'm missing alot of shit so this is my chance to get the rest of my crap. Also, I need 604 form to get a new alpha belt. Finally, this drill I will receive all my information for my planned Annual Training. Usually it happens in California, but since my section consists of myself and another Lcpl we are both going to Japan for our training so it's very important that this stuff is finished.

Another thing, I have gotten back into the dating scene with mixed results. I was about to go into a relationship with a old friend from high school. However, we both nixed it thanks in part to the planned 2 weeks in Japan. I don't know if anything will come out of that. Then again, the last time I was doing anything like that was back before I sold my soul to the government.

NeoTheta Experiment 25: Afronova by Re-venge

Today, I went to the Eaton United Methodist Church for the first time in 4 years, I stopped attending after alot of my friends moved out of the area. What was once a church that was full of life and had a good sized congregation for a small town is now down to about 20-30 people and has lost most of it's life. One note was that the local church mainstay Dan Vore was giving me dirty looks throughout the service as he never gave me respect since I came there alone since my family is not religious to say the least, and I didn't follow the type of clean cut kid that he likes.

After the service I ended up making a call about this to him and he told me that I never spoke so he didn't know what to make of me until I spoke up about what I was doing. Sometimes, alot of people act on emotion and don't act until they have full evidence. In my case, I feel that this was a humbling experience for both sides, as he didn't know how to make out people and he shouldn't act on stereotypes. For me, it was to go to the source about the problem first and be a diplomat as much as possible. I know that I can fight, and that I can intellectually run laps around many people. However, being a diplomat is the best way to show both of these with discipline, thus making them look the strongest and smartest of all.

Most of my time this weekend was spent playing quite a bit of DDR. To the extent where I played 7 straight hours yesterday somehow. Today I am feeling it a little, but not very much surprisingly.

NeoTheta Experiment 24: Lopsided activity

Business has picked up bigtime. I did my Drill Period which consisted of me having to play section leader once again and doing a 12 man job on my own and somehow finish it all up in the same time period. Somehow I pulled it off, but it sucked bigtime and I don't want to have to suffer that fate again cause I don't get paid enough. Another thing is that along with a DV camera I have started putting some of my most frightening DDR performances online for download. There is a good chance that I might end this log to work on it a little more fulltime since this isn't picking up much visitations anymore.

On another note, I have had to deal with Aaron, one of the MuncieDDR forum regulars as of late in a issue which got severe due to his lack of comphrension. For those who don't know this guy I'll give you info on him. This is a guy who isn't much taller than me who weighs more than I did back before I joined the service, oozes oil from his skin and long curly disshelved hair, speaks with a effeminate male voice, tries to do the whole badass car act (I have many friends who would put him to shame), acts all big and bad talking behind somebody's back yet face to face is a total puss, and most of all stinks worse than a portapotty on a Army base. When I was at the MuncieDDR webmaster's house with most of our other major forum regulars to watch the 2nd presidential debate, I smelled him the whole time. Worse than that, when I was showing them the R3 Freestyle video on my DV cam he was to my right and it was a horrid smell that made me almost vomit. Concerning the issue at hand, most of everybody has told me he is full of shit and I am inclined to agree since from what we have figured out he plays DDR as much as he showers, which is next to never. All I have to say is that I hate the lisping gossipping effeminate types, and I hate the smelly asshole in the bunch. However, when they are both put together into one hideous being then that is just fucking wrong. This kid needs a bath and an asswhooping before he leaves high school, and I pray that somebody does it soon cause I won't use force on civilians unless my life is threatened in almost all cases now.

On another note, my winho partition on Cthulhu (my beautiful laptop) imploded for the second time since I bought the damn thing and I finally had enough. As a result, I did a complete switch from Windows to Linux. Surprisingly enough I have been able to get everything working, right down to my EMS2USB adapter, my Broadcom Wireless Chipset (NdisWrapper rules!!!), my Radeon Mobility 9700, hell, I even found programs to replace VirtualDub. Pretty much I am at the point where I don't really think I will go back to Windows now. It's getting to the point where the home versions are crippled pieces of shit, the Pro versions aren't stable, the Service Packs are causing 3 out of 5 computers to stop working (I believe this started my woes as well), and the fact that I have tablated all the software that I use in Linux would cost $1,100 in Windows including the Operating System and I didn't spend a dime on anything Linux related.

NeoTheta Experiment 23: Examinations

Last night a 'community' wide church service was held at Emens Auditorium on Campus. Given the names that were attached to it and how it was handled, I have to get this out of my system. The event was a major league Publicity Stunt and given the only bit of press they got was this I'd have to say it was a massive failure. In my point of view civilian churches are missing the mark horribly as their services either go too archekic or follow the 'blind contemporary' mold where they act like they are open to everybody, but are usually gunning for people either of similar belief or of higher class/income. The larger irony is that they wonder why they many of them have been getting a steady decline in their attendence and fail to see how stuck in a rut they really are.

Also, larger scale gathering usually doesn't work, as most people go for all the WRONG reasons. Case in point the Oneighty worship services. I can speak for a fact that the overwhelming majority go there mainly for a hangout place and the service is failing to reach anybody in the long run. The service in question also has some rather shady characters who work for it and I have a hard time really considering them to believe in Christ according to the doctrines that they usually speak of, yet break at the same time.

As for religious mission trips, it's a nice idea, but they are completely missing the mark on that one as well. I'm hearing them going to european countries and the like, but they don't send people to the more war torn areas where real missionary work could possibly be done. Apparently they are afraid of getting beheaded by some extremist idiots even though christianity teaches eternal life after this life. All the 'Christians' on the militant snuff videos are usually seen begging for their lives before they are killed which proves this point further.

The complaints of liberal bias at Ball State University are rather laughable, as from what I have gathered from the background of those who are giving the complaints could be accused for conservative bias and defamation of character given how they have harassed other students and professors about the topic.

Now, I'm going to answer a question that was E-Mailed to me by some regulars of the UC@7 college service that I attend on those few weekends that I have absolutely nothing to do. Yes, there is currently a situation between myself and Jeremy Neckers. What happened is that he has gone out of his way to act not only holier than thou, but has also acted severely pretentious thinking that just because I have a different social background he is better than me. Both actions are the two extremes that if I was given at 29 Palms by one of the Marines put under me I would have no problem not only correcting them upfront, but I'd make it stick by putting them on some of the worst shit details out there. What is unique is that he has given both extremes to me, whereas everybody else has been on one side or another.

Furthermore, he has invaded my personal space and while I was gone had the nerve to call me a baby killer and a stupid jarhead. Those are fighting words to anybody in the armed forces, but to me that means they are either dumber than hell or are begging to get corrected hardcore. So this past Saturday when he decided to give me his smug greeting and call me by a abreviated name despite knowning not to, that was going way too far. The major recap of what I said was rather Senior Drill Instructor like as shown below:

"What do you want Nasty? I heard what you said behind my back. The way you have conducted yourself is pathetic, but what you did last week is unforgivable. You are extremely lucky that you aren't military cause I can't correct you like one of my Marines put under me. If you ever act nasty again though I will personally see to it that the consequences will be harsh under your civilian law since you have acted as a physical threat."

Overall, I have another drill period to attend this weekend so I won't be around, but everything that happens when I am not around gets back to me, and usually I hear all my information quicker than normal since religious civilians love to gossip more than anyone else.

On a better note, this weekend for the drill I will be staying at a hotel, so I will also most likely bring in my DDR gear and one of my CF pads. Since we are working until 4 PM every day I figure that I will need something to pass the time and hopefully I will have a 1st floor room. Expect me to also end up with Marines checking out the game, making fun of it at first, then stop making fun of it when I play one of the 10 ft songs.

Me in full Camoflauge Utilities playing DDR. For those infogeeks the song is Spin the Disc Heavy on DDRMAX2 US with 5 greats, 1 good, and 1 miss and arcade timing on. I play better in uniform for some reason. Posted by Hello
